 Poor quality, shuts down computer, don't take on trips December 25, 2008
The light quickly stopped working, then after a month or so it began to rattle when shaken, and sounded as if it was shorting out. This shut
down my laptop, but didn't seem to harm it.
After a few more months the laptop said it couldn't determine the adapter type and couldn't charge the battery. Definitely don't depend on this for trips, you could be left with dead batteries.
 Worked great for 3 weeks December 20, 2008
This charger stopped working for me completely after three weeks. It worked very well during those three weeks, and then suddenly broke. I have no complaints about the length or appearance.
To be fair, I carried it in my backpack a lot, but I would expect an AC adapter for a laptop to be able to withstand being carried around in a bag.

Bought this item from amazon.com a few weeks ago. It stopped working after about 5 uses. Save yourself some time and just get the Dell replacement!
It stopped charging the battery November 20, 2008
Used it for about 3 months and it stopped charging the battery when plugged in. Saw other posting stating the same problem. Can't find any warranty info. I must agree with the others that you got what you paid for.

While I read the others reviews I think I got a bad one. It worked well for about 3 weeks, regular use, actually I was being very carefull whit it, because looks kind of "delicate" and all of a sudden it stopped working. For the price, I guess I got what I paid for, but I was hoping that it'd last a little bit more. Not really recomended...
